After an historic sojourn to Spain recently, where he witnessed guitar music like this performed in transit stations, public squares, and in medieval cathedrals, Mitch spends more and more time with his Orozco Spanish guitar, returning to the roots of his Classical guitar study begun in the early 70's. He has performed at weddings / funerals / restaurants / gatherings of all types. This collection not only features music by Francisco Tarrega, Heiter Villa-Lobos, but music composed for the lute in the 15th century, as well as two pieces by contemporary Dutch guitarist, Jan Akkerman (from the band, Focus), that were intended also for lute.
